My family really likes this microwave.Easy to use and cooks the food good!Love the stainless steel color.Good buy at a reasonable price.Fits the budget.Will buy one again when our oldest goest to college.

You can't buy a better microwave than a Sharp. That's why I came to Amazon when I couldn't find what I wanted locally.My previous Sharp microwave had been great but needed replacing due to advanced age.This one is even better, more shortcut buttons, more power.A regular sized bag of popcorn pops in 1:25!!!!!As far as I'm concerned, Sharp wrote the book on microwaves!
I have to admit that I was not in love with the idea of a Panasonic product, having had the misfortune to purchase a TV and DVD that both went belly up within a relatively short priod of time - just out of warranty.Anyway, I was replacing my Sharp Carousel Convection as the mica plate had blown twice and it was not economical to keep replacing it. So with much reluctance, I took a punt on the Panasonic.Frankly, it is fantastic.It is whisper quiet, cooks extremely well - recipe prompting actually works and the Grill is sensational.Would I buy it again?You bet. I am now completely converted and trying new recipes with confidence.
I bought this good quality, easy to use, name brand microwave to replace a similar one from another manufacturer that finally died after more than a decade of daily use.Will this one last that long?I'd say, as long as the keypad survives (which is doubtful with daily use of the 30 second feature) this versatile, easy to program microwave will continue to be the quick little work-horse of the kitchen.Well written, easy to understand bi-lingual instructions are included and I was pleasantly surprised to get this much needed replacement delivered to me the following day without requesting (or paying for or being charged) any kind of special speedy delivery. Amazon.com, Target and this versatile little work-horse all get 5 stars in my book.
Currently this Amazon page is lacking in some details about this unit, most notably that it is a 1200 WATT unit, not 1100 WATTs like most 1.4 cu.ft. units.So that's pretty sweet, right?
I got this model because it was inexpensive and GE has a good reputation.Also, microwave ovens are a pretty much a commodity.It really doesn't matter which one you get.All units with the same amount of power work the same way.They all have carousels.
We got this microwave because it was very highly rated in Consumer Reports. It does a terrific job and looks great in the kitchen. Super powerful at 1200 watts. You have to reduce the power level on some recipes since most microwave cookbooks use 1000 watt machines. The power level button prevents overcooking. The popcorn button is terrific. Highly recommend getting the Sharp Carousel Cookbook that you can order from the back of the instruction book. Only $7, it has terrific recipes. I've made great tasting stuffed mushrooms, excellent nachos and cheesey bacon english muffins. I very happy with this microwave. It was impossible to find in any retail stores. Amazon gave me the absolute best price and free shipping.
This is my 4th Sharp microwave and I'm really happy with this oven. Like others have said, it is loud, but with 1200 watts that really should be expected. It's fast, plenty big, looks great, and easy to clean. One concern is in the door button. This is a stainless steel microwave but the button that opens the door is made of very cheap plastic. It's not been a problem for our family of 2, but a family with more people opening and closing the microwave might want to pay particular attention to how flimsy it is. All in all, though, I certainly recommend this product.
I'd love to say that my relationship with microwaves is nuanced and sophisticated. They've been around for 30 years, I've been around longer - cooking and eating all the while. But no - the only variable I've ever set on a Microwave is "cooking time."
I previously had a 1300 watt panasonic microwave that was larger than this one.It went bad and I decided I wanted a red one.I came across this one on sale at Target and wasn't sure I wanted it because it was quite a bit smaller than my old one and less powerful.But I liked the way it looked and went ahead and bought it, and I'm so glad I did.I love everything about this microwave.Emerson put a lot of thought into how the buttons work.I love the one-touch buttons.Just press the "1" and you get one minute; you don't have to press the start button.If you want an extra 30 seconds, just press the start button.I can't say enough about this product.And the smaller size works just fine for me.I don't really notice that it's less powerful than my old one, except maybe when I'm making popcorn.If you're thinking about buying this, go ahead...You won't be disappointed.

First, let me address the concerns some reviewers seem to have had with their units. One thing I've noticed is that each and every one was ordered over the internet and, thus, had to be shipped. I think the problem may have been with the delivery service manhandling the package. As it is, this Cuisinart microwave can be had at several specialty retailers (especially those specializing in kitchen and other housewares), so an internet purchase is not always mandatory.
This attractive Sharp 308 model is virtually the exact same as the 402, 410, and 420 models. Its 1100 watts cooks everything fast, but it's surprisingly quiet when running. Stack your biggest food portions on the edges of your plate when warming. It also has plenty of cool tricks and tips, such as shortcut keys and you can mute all the bells and whistles by pressing a simple 3-key sequence. It's bigger than my previous 1.0cu.ft. microwave, but well worth it. Whatever you do, this is like buying a new phone: READ THE MANUAL and everything will seem simple and make sense. I'm very happy with it.
We lived in Europe for many years and had a dish cover similar to this.After many years of use, we needed a replacement.
I acquired this microwave when I was moving to a flat with limited kitchen space, and my primary reason for the choice was that the Sharp model was multi-functional. Since I've begun using it, I happily have ceased to sing a requiem for the toaster oven, separate grill, and other items I was 'consolidating' in this purchase.
We've had this microwave for several months now, after replacing an old one that was having trouble (which 1/4 of the plate that it decided to heat on any given day was apparently determined by the phases of the moon, or possibly sun spots).
I've waited quite awhile to review this product.Why?Well, I wasn't really sure of the quality and wanted to wait and see what would go wrong.After all, this is a very inexpensive microwave.So I waited ... and waited ... but since product models come and go quickly, I thought I had better put my 2 cents in before this model became history.
I bought this microwave because of its very small size. It seems to work good although the keypad takes a heavy touch. It has all the features that you need, but be aware, it is small.
This is my 3rd Sharp Carousel microwave oven. The first one was a combinationmicrowave/convection oven. After about 10 years, the knobs broke and I used that as an excuse to buy a replacement (the original still works). The replacement I bought next was a digital model in most respects similar to this one. Again, it lasted about 10 years before developing some rust spots along the chamber seams. Again, although it still works, I saw this as a potential fire hazard and replaced it with one as similar as I could. buy.
Great Value for the money! I was a bit disappointed that the upper and lower rims are not stainless steel but a grey plastic color, the rest of the machine is stainless steel.
Overall this is an excellent microwave, but with a few caveats:
I installed this microwave oven as a built in using a Panasonic TK-729SAPH Stainless Steel Trim Kit (27" width) for all 1.6 cuft Panasonic Stainless Steel Microwave models.
This Microwave oven gets my highest rating even though Amazon only allows for five stars the oven is extremely fast and has the largest capacity for the price, also the quietest microwave oven I have ever heard or owned, I am amazed at the speed of cooking and reheating it can do and Amazon has the best and lowest price of any website I researched on, oven has a clock which was not stated on the description on the amazon page where it is located on there is however downfall to this microwave oven which I was very surprised to have witnessed for such an innovator of this type of oven they are known for their carousel that it did not have a luud beep when the oven is finished cooking or reheating you really have to be in a room that is very quiet to hear this beeping sound for when the oven is finished but all in all great oven great price and lots of cooking and reheating settings and loads of interior space, I was even able to put a Visions cookware pot in there without damaging the sides of the oven while the turntable is in motion which I thought I would not be able to do prior to receiving the oven I did have a concern that I would not be able to use this particular pot in there because of damage it could cause but I was pleasantly surprieed I was able to put it in this oven If you own a lower wattage microwave oven and you purchase this one you will also need to adjust your times by at least half the amount you already use on your current oven, I also love the minute plus setting, if you make a mistake in your time you can press this button to add one more extra minute everytime until you reach the desired time, it is very handy if you are not sure just how much more time you need with your cooking and don't want to have to go all through the steps again to reset and start over this button is so easy just one press and you get an extra minute I completely recommend this Microwave oven ot everyone, I just hope it last twenty years like my old Amana microwave did
Well I like it.I like the control panel.I can set up lots of auto timing with it, Which means all I have to do is punch one button.It took a little learning form the intruction book, but I got the hang of it.I think it's a great deal for the money.
After several years of fantastic service, our GE microwave caught fire. (Upon further research we found we were lucky it had not done so sooner, but it cooked to perfection while it worked.) I read reviews for the Panasonic NN-H965WF 2.2 cu. ft. microwave and decided to purchase it. I was really looking forward to having a large oven.However, I have been very disappointed in its performance. First, it takes much longer to cook foods,or even heat water, for that matter, than any other microwave we have owned.Also, the auto popcorn setting either undercooks or burns the popcorn. The auto sensor cooking does a poor job.In short, I have used cheap microwaves of much less power in offices and other places that out perform this machine. Also, placing the glass plate correctly in position can take a bit of time. By "time" I mean seconds, but much longer than I have ever experienced with other machines and when one is trying to cook in a hurry, having to fuss with the plate is irritating. And speaking of time, the clock and other readings are not very clear. The background with the unlit portions of the digital read-out shows so brightly that there is not much contrast between it and the lit numbers.In short, I wish I had purchased a different microwave and would not recommend this one to a perspective buyer.
Was looking to replace an old G.E. microwave with something more powerful & modern, this style from Panasonic fit the bill. I love the features this microwave comes with, and it's a very efficent microwave, sleek in look, powerful in it's cooking power, and does the job very nicely.
Because I have an existing trim kit, getting a particular size is extremely important to me. Unfortunately, Sharp keeps changing its models. Fortunately, this one not only fits perfectly, but it has more features than the last one. And, it is less expensive. And, it works faster. The good: fast, attractive, lots of features, big. The bad: nothing really, except my wife wishes the buttons were slightly larger. I think microwaves are one of the few products that get better and cost less with time. Highly recommended.

I bought this after doing a ridiculous amount of research on microwaves. I'd had a GE Spacesaver microwave for 12 years and when it died, I first checked out Consumer Reports. It gave good ratings to GE, Panasonic, Sears, and Sanyo. I went to look at all but the Sanyo (there were none in my town.) And then I checked out the reviews here, on the Sears and BestBuy sites, and elsewhere. It seems the Consumer Reports doesn't consider service records in any category but automobiles, so its recommendations are of limited value.
